KAYANASE GREENHOUSE

RESTORING MOTHER EARTH

KAYANASE

EXPERIENCE THE CULTURE OF SIX NATIONS OF THE GRAND RIVER

Kayanase Greenhouse

Kayanase’s current greenhouse was built in 2010 and is nearly 55,000 square feet, and it features a retractable roof. Attached is a 9,000 square foot warehouse and office building. Our organization is about restoring Mother Earth holistically through the collection of native seeds, to seed progressing, seed propagation, planting, monitoring and eventually back to healthful biodiversity. Kayanase is dedicated to improving the health of Mother Earth using science-based approaches and Traditional Ecological knowledge.

Kayanase Longhouse

Kahyonkahta envisions a center where the history and culture of Haudenosaunee (People of the Longhouse) is accurately and appropriately represented while providing cultural, social, educational and economic benefits to the community of Six Nations. The Longhouse Projects aims to support and increase cultural awareness in the community while providing visitors to Six Nations with an exceptional cultural experience that increases their understanding and appreciation for Six Nations’ natural resources, society, history and culture.
